It’s an OWC Envoy with a Samsung 970 EVO, but I’ve also tried a different TB3 enclosure and a Sandisk extreme pro ssd and cross swapped both and had the same problem every time. However, the enclosure is displayed in system information. Not in disk utility and not in finder either. I can use my external thunderbolt 3 ssd normally after a reboot, but when I unplug it and plug it back in, it is not recognised. But loaded with the new OS. Since I took Big Sur as an occasion to rebuild my system to get rid of old burdens, so my system is relatively fresh. Two of my work colleagues have the same device and it works for them without any problems with my SSDs. I use a 2019 MacBook Pro 16″ with BigSur 11.0.1. Then when i plug in the enclosure this process starts again but the ssd still doesn’t show up. ![]()
